The William Knorr is a 34' Downeast Style Boat designed by Calvin Beal and layed up by his brother Wayne in Belfast Maine. These hulls are primarily used as lobster boats or commercial fishing boats and proven to be extremely seaworthy. The full keel and almost flat bottom aft, produce an exceptional ride and make a very stable platform at sea for fishing. The cockpit is equiped with a fighting chair and is 12'-6" X 13'-0" so there's plenty of room for six anglers and a mate. The boat is Diesel Powered, Air Conditioned, and has a 5KW Northern Lights generator to power a microwave, refrigertor and coffee maker. There are 2 bunks below deck for overnight trips, and a full galley and enclosed head and shower round out the accommodations down below. Seating in the wheel house for all those aboard makes for a comfortable ride out to the canyons or your favorite fishing hole. With respect to safety the boat is equiped with a Furuno 10" Color Sounder, Raymarine 48 mile Radar, Raymanrine GPS Chartplotter, Depth and Sea Temp Indicators, 2 VHF Radios, Auto Pilot, EPIRB and 8 Man USCG Approved Life Raft. We cruise at 22 knots and top out at 24 knots.
